Understanding Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a type of treatment that focuses on physical rehabilitation. What Our Clients Have Said

  • This has been my first visit to Sam and I was very impressed with his professional approach to discovering the true problem and the extent of its issues. He put together a comprehensive series of exercises to enable my damaged calf to not only recover in the optimal manner but also to build a strong baseline for continued development of strength. As a very senior sports player with a failing body I am sure that I will be back in the near future to again avail myself of his services. Thank you Sam.

  • I would absolutely recommend PACE and Sam. Sam has a background in competitive sports and takes a pragmatic and considered approach to treating injuries, wouldn't hesitate to use again! Initially I started off having sports massages but then needed specific physio treatment for sports injuries. Thanks for your help getting me to to the start line of Ironman UK!!

  • I had been struggling with a trapped nerve and tight muscles in my hip for absolutely months, i was hesitant to have it treated after lock down but with Sams professional approach and taking all the procausions i really had nothing to worry about. He managed to free up my hip with ease and provided some exercises to do at home to strengthen the surrounding muscles. I would highly recommend Sam, especially from his athletic background and first had experience!

What does a physiotherapist do?
The focus of physiotherapy is to help people regain independence. Independence over their day to day lives or control over what ever condition they present with.
Do you only offer sports physio?
No, sports physio & sports injuries are my specialism, but the same principles apply to the whole population.
How many sessions will I need?
I aim to treat you in as few sessions as possible. I will try to give you independence in whatever condition you see me by providing you with exercises at home. The more strictly you stick to these exercises, the number of sessions you'll require will reduce.
What do I need to wear?
What to wear for your phsio session is a hot topic. It is more than likely that you’ll need to expose the area you want assessing, so wear clothes that you feel comfortable in that allows access to that body part. So a singlet, sports bra, pair of shorts etc. But of course, your comfort & care is the main concern.
Physiotherapy is a type of treatment that helps patients improve their physical function through therapy. It encompasses many different treatments for different conditions to provide a solution to any discomfort you may be experiencing.
