Sam qualified as a Chartered
Physiotherapist from Keele University. Before that, he completed a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Sam has worked with quite a number of World-class athletes from the South African, Czech and British athletics teams, some of whom featured in Beijing, London and Rio Olympic Games.
Sam has been involved in sports since a young age and has been actively training since he was 13, training and competing in the Decathlon for the last 12 years. Training and competing at the level that he has given Sam a unique insight into athletic training, injuries and also the psyche of sports people. Also due to the nature of the Decathlon, it is likely that Sam will have experienced many of the athletic injuries presented to him.
Sam has a personal interest in Strength and Conditioning and also Respiratory techniques to improve athletic performance.
Sam has completed a course in athletic taping and also studied with the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine as well as gaining and qualification in medical acupuncture; his treatments are always guided by best clinical practice and solid clinical reasoning.
Sam is registered with the Health Professions Council (PH90702) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
